From time to time, the local Aldermen request the input of the community groups like the East Village Neighbors. The East Village Nieghbors currently meet on the first Tuesday of every month. If the Alderman has requested that you obtain the input of the East Village Neighbors prior to proceeding with a project, please contact us through the contact page on this site or use the contact information provided to you by the Alderman's office.
The East Village Neighbors does not currently have a Zoning and Development Committee. Proposals are reviewed by the group as a whole.
It is the policy of the East Village Neighbors that written material be provided to the organization. This material will be provided to the members in attendance at the meeting following receipt of the materials. Please note that there will not be any discussion of the proposal at the first meeting after receipt of the materials, and there will be no presentation of the proposal at that time.
The materials will subsequently be distributed electronically to the membership prior to the second meeting. It is at the second meeting after receipt of the materials that the group will hear your presentation.
While we realize that there is most likely a desire to move the proposal through to a vote in a quicker manner, the membership needs to be aware of upcoming proposals as well as be informed as to the nature and details regarding the proposal prior to any presentation.
